Named after 14,150 ft Mt. Sneffels and nestled between Ouray, Ridgway and Telluride, Mt. Sneffels Wilderness Area encompasses 16,565 acres. Within its boundaries are stunning day hikes: Blue Lakes Trail and Sneffels Highline and the popular ascent of its namesake and other peaks. No vehicles or mountain bikes are allowed in wilderness areas.
